Welcome

WELCOME

Thank you for visiting Guesthouse TETSU — a budget room-only guesthouse on Izu Oshima Island.
Sitting midway between the island's two ports, we offer the best mobility on an island where boats dock at either Motomachi or Okata depending on the wind that day.
Our 24-hour shared kitchen lets you cook whenever you like, our outdoor BBQ area catches the sea breeze, and an outdoor shower lets you rinse off after a day on the water — every detail set up for an active stay.
Whether you're here for sightseeing, fishing, cycling, or a workation,
this is your base for making the most of Oshima.

It was my first time on Izu Oshima, but the staff were so kind I felt completely at ease. The room and bathrooms were spotless and very comfortable. I'd love to come back!

  • Great location.

Easy to reach from both Okata and Motomachi ports. Even when the arrival port changed due to weather, getting around was no problem.

I've been visiting Izu Oshima since my university days, and I fell in love with the island's nature and the warmth of its people — enough to move here for good. Fishing, diving, camping — pretty much anything outdoors — I'm into it, and you'll find me enjoying the island on my days off. Feel free to ask me about local spots or just chat about whatever you're into. I'd love for your time on Oshima to become a memory worth keeping. Looking forward to having you!
